About This Project

Implemented the SIMP (Solid Isotropic Material with Penalization) topology optimization method in MATLAB to minimize structural compliance under given load and boundary conditions — finding the optimal material distribution within a design domain.

Multiple load cases and volume fractions were explored, generating distinct structural topologies. Results were visualized as density maps showing the evolution of material from solid to optimized lattice forms over hundreds of iterations.
