About This Project

Designed a parametric honeycomb lattice lamp shade using OpenSCAD — a code-based CAD tool that enables fully algorithmic geometry generation. The hexagonal lattice structure was programmatically controlled, allowing rapid iteration of cell size, wall thickness, and overall form.

The final design was fabricated via FDM 3D printing, producing a lightweight, semi-transparent shade with beautiful light diffusion effects through the honeycomb openings. The project demonstrates the power of parametric design for functional aesthetic applications.
